This work emerged from a place of devastation, where the fragments of ruin demand reassembly into deeply layered and introspective visual information. The monumental scale of the collage mirrors the immensity of the event it grapples with—not as a record of the specific, but as a universal meditation on loss, survival, and regeneration. The imagery, derived from the Leftovers of recent destruction, invites the viewer into an otherworldly landscape where the past is simultaneously obliterated and preserved, both raw and transformed.

The work draws upon the paradox of resilience: the way debris becomes material, the way absence takes on shape, and the way the horrific ruins of one moment can echo through history to shape another. The cars, twisted and fragmented, are no longer functional objects but rather memorials to motion halted, vehicles of memory instead of transportation. Their organic integration into the larger whole blurs the line between human artifact and natural reclamation, emphasizing the cyclical relationship between decay and rebirth.
